Peer Review Process

To maintain the highest standards of scholarly quality, academic integrity, and relevance, all manuscripts submitted to Ragom: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat undergo a rigorous three-stage evaluation process. 

Upon submission, every manuscript is subject to an initial screening conducted by the Editorial Board. At this stage, the editor evaluates the manuscript against technical criteria.

Manuscripts that do not meet these fundamental technical standards or exhibit high similarity indices will be rejected at the desk without proceeding to external evaluation. 

Manuscripts that successfully pass the desk review are advanced to an external peer-review phase. This process employs a strict double-blind methodology, meaning that the identities of both the authors and the reviewers remain completely anonymous to one another throughout the evaluation. 

Each manuscript is assigned to at least two (2) independent reviewers who possess specialized subject-matter expertise aligned with the manuscript's substance. Reviewers critically evaluate the work based on its methodology, contribution to community empowerment, originality, and conceptual depth.

Editorial Decision

Following the submission of evaluation reports by the peer reviewers, the Handling Editor synthesizes the recommendations to formulate a definitive editorial conclusion. The final outcome is classified into one of the following decisions:

• Minor Revision: The manuscript requires minor structural or textual adjustments.
• Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial conceptual, methodological, or analytical revisions, and may undergo a second round of review.
• Rejection: The manuscript is deemed unsuitable for publication due to significant scholarly gaps or a failure to meet the journal's qualitative standards. [1, 6]

The final decision made by the Editorial Board is absolute and binding.
